This week's quote comes from Maya Angelou. Maya Angelou was an American poet, singer, memoirist, and civil rights activist. She published seven autobiographies, three books of essays, several books of poetry, and is credited with a list of plays, movies, and television shows spanning over 50 years.
In her quote she said that, " Courage is the most important of all the virtues..." She explained that because she would love to let people know that courage is very important and courage plays a major role above all other virtues a person has. She also said, "..because with out courage you can't practice any other virtue consistently." She also said that because being that courage is the most important, you can't go forth with any other virtue without the strength and the willingness to do something you don't want to do.
in honor of Maya Angelou we chose her because she was born in the month of April and we wanted to make this quote out to her.
